Daroma-Tzafona was founded by a number of private entrepreneurs, headed by the industrialist Mr. Eitan Wertheimer and in active partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel.
Foundation Vision
Reducing the social and economic disparities between Israel’s center and periphery, driven by the belief that a thriving industrial sector is a powerful engine for growth — one that creates employment, elevates living standards, and strengthens the Israeli economy as a whole.
Foundation Mission
To empower and strengthen small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMBs) in Israel’s northern and southern regions by providing access to high-quality capital, professional guidance, and a comprehensive business support framework.
Rooted in the conviction that industry is a central engine of national resilience, our mission is to promote and reinforce industrial activity throughout Israel’s broader periphery.
We focus on factories with strong growth and export potential, offering them preferential loans alongside a suite of advanced managerial and business tools.
In line with this vision, we established The Industrialists’ Club – a leading community of CEOs and factory owners from across Israel.
The club serves as a professional home for peer learning, cross-sector collaboration, high-quality networking, and the shared growth of Israeli industry.
Our Values
Service | Professionalism | Trust | Integrity | Confidentiality
All of these, together with loyalty to the founders’ vision and a steadfast commitment to continuous impact measurement.
Monitoring and Evaluation
We view ongoing measurement and evaluation as a cornerstone of our work.
Our goal is to gain a deep understanding of the foundation’s impact — both at the level of each individual factory and at the scale of the industrial ecosystem as a whole — and to continuously improve and optimize our activities.
Our teams conduct regular site visits to factories, gaining close insights into each business’s needs, challenges, and opportunities. They collect data that provides a full and accurate picture of the current situation — data that forms the basis for tailored support and effective mentoring processes.
Additionally, we conduct periodic surveys among our partner factories, offering a macro-level view of trends in the industrial sector and of each factory’s position within it.
These insights help us identify cross-sector needs, encourage collaboration among stakeholders, and develop new tools and programs to benefit Israeli industry as a whole.

Daroma Tsafona undertakes to do everything in its power, within the framework of the overall resources at its disposal, to stand by the factories and businesses in the Galilee and the Negev and to accompany them in an informed and business-responsible manner through the best professionals and as much as necessary.
