Eitan Wertheimer, (1951-2022)

The late Eitan Wertheimer believed in the power of Israeli industry to generate not only profit — but also hope, resilience, and equality. His legacy demonstrates that vision and determination can transform a small factory into a global business, and local action into a catalyst for social change.
As he said: "Business is managed from the head, the family from the heart. And how do you manage it correctly? From the head, the heart, and the wallet" – a statement reflects his human-centered worldview and leadership philosophy.
The late Eitan Wertheimer viewed small and medium-sized businesses as the beating heart of Israel’s economy. He was inspired by every entrepreneur striving to make an impact, every industrial plant in the periphery creating value, innovation, and employment, and every manufacturer reaching for global markets — driven by his belief that Israel can, and should, lead on the world stage.

With years of experience, Eitan knew that true business independence comes not only from capital, but from knowledge, guidance, and belief. Daroma Tzafona was founded as more than a philanthropic venture — it’s a lasting partnership that empowers businesses beyond the initial investment.
He emphasized time and again that export is not a luxury, but a necessity — one that expands business potential into new markets and provides employees with the opportunity to be part of a forward-looking, globally connected industrial sector.

In establishing the fund and through his active involvement, he sought to empower businesses with the tools to dare, grow, and conquer new markets — providing full support from the application stage to real success. His vision was to ensure that local industry could evolve into a global success story. He constantly encouraged businesses to think ahead, innovate, stay competitive, and always look beyond the horizon.

The late Eitan founded the organization and remained a steadfast supporter from its inception in 2007 until his final days.

The company he so deeply believed in continues to thrive today, guided by his enduring vision.

"Business is managed from the head, the family from the heart. And how do you manage it correctly? From the head, the heart, and the wallet"
